Acupuncture

Used by our accredited professionals, Dry Needling / Acupuncture can be an effective tool to relieve both acute and chronic pain.  It is often gentler than other hands-on treatments, making it especially effective in these cases.

We also use it to reduce muscle and tendon stiffness, as it allows us to target deeper areas of tension that are harder to reach with manual therapy.

Another use of Dry Needling / Acupuncture is to help reduce swelling by triggering a positive inflammatory response and increasing blood flow to the affected area - both key elements in the healing process.

Acupuncture / Dry Needling can

Relieve pain

Reduce muscle tightness

Improve mobility

Aid tissue recovery

Reduce swelling

Reduce nerve pain

WHY YOU CAN TRUST US.

As an independently owned and run company, we’re free from the restrictions of corporate bureaucracy, allowing us to be inherently cost- effective, and agile. This flexibility allows us to adapt our model as required, providing customised solutions for each client that can grow with your company.

In addition to providing our corporate clients with an on-site Physio presence, our package adds value by including delivery of multiple in-person presentations and workshops for your employees each year. We’ve developed this education program based on our experience and our data collection, which shows us where the needs are highest. We deliver this in collaboration with other on-site practitioners such as doctors, gym staff, dentists, etc.

Our approach helps our corporate clients optimise their employee-benefits packages, and doing so within a cost-effective model. This also is an added incentive for employee attendance at the workplace.

Providing on-site Physiotherapy services has been an area we have specialised in for decades, meaning we understand the Health and Wellness needs of our large corporate clients.

WHY YOU CAN TRUST US.

Lower the cost of your insurance renewals

The cost of your yearly renewals depends on the cost incurred by the insurer, and Musculoskeletal Services is one of the biggest costs. By utilising our tailored service, we reduce these costs by:

  • Having consistently lower treatment numbers per patient
  • Maintaining excellent patient outcomes
  • Reducing the number of unnecessary referrals to specialists and scans
  • Being on-site, reducing costs
  • Tailoring our service to your individual business needs

No direct billing to your company

A perk of being established in the City of London for 40+ years, is that we have existing relationships with all insurance providers.

This means we bill the insurer directly, at the reduced-rate we've agreed with you. Meaning you pay for exactly what is delivered.

Reduce employee absence from the workplace

Travel time to appointments:  we have calculated the cost due to time-loss, when employees leave the building to attend Physio appointments, compared to us on-site.

Let's just say, in some cases it's in the £Millions/year.

Sickness due to work-related Musculoskeletal Pain: public data shows that this accounts for 7.8 million working days lost in 2023/24. This rose by 15% from the previous year.

This highlights the importance for early and effective intervention, which is the core value of this service.

Additional on-site workshops and presentations:

As part of this package, we deliver presentations to your employees at no extra cost. These sessions consistently receive positive feedback.

Our current program:

  • Marathon Preparation: Presentation
  • Practical Marathon workshops (If there is an on-site gym)
  • Bike Fit: Proper set-up on a road bike
  • Sitting Pretty: Postural advice for desk workers
  • Men's and Women's Health: A physio perspective

Expand your employe-benefits package:

This service delivers two simple things that all of our corporate clients are looking for:

  • Offering more services to your employees, while promoting health and wellbeing
  • Reduce overall costs to your company

WHY YOU CAN TRUST US.

Project 1

Is it safe?

Yes. Dry Needling / Acupuncture is completely safe when used by our accredited professionals. We will run through your medical history and any contraindications with you beforehand, to make sure it's appropriate.

Project 2

How does it work?

There are multiple mechanisms that explain the benefits seen from Dry Needling/Acupuncture:

Increased local blood flow: By triggering a positive inflammatory response, dry needling helps relieve 'trigger points' and muscle stiffness. This increased circulation also aids in recovery from injury and can help reduce swelling in the targeted tissue.

Nerve pain reduction: Dry needling interferes with the problematic feedback loops between the tissue and nervous system that drive chronic pain and stiffness. This is often referred to as “resetting” a muscle, helping to break the cycle of discomfort

Project 3

When will we use it?

Our expert physios use Dry Needling / Acupuncture as one of many tools in their toolkit. It works best as part of a holistic treatment plan alongside manual therapy, stretching, exercise, or massage. We commonly use dry needling to help manage conditions such as:

  • Neck or back pain
  • Headaches
  • Chronic muscle pain
  • Tendinopathies
  • Muscle tears
  • Rotator Cuff injuries

Project 1

Prevent overuse injuries and RSI:

Public data shows that musculoskeletal injuries sustained in the workplace account for 7.8 million working days lost in 2023/24. This rose by 15% from the previous year.

The areas most affected are: the back (43% of cases), upper limbs or neck (37%), lower limbs (20%).

Our physios provide advice and adjustments directly related to these statistics, to prevent your employees from becoming a statistic.

Project 2

Provided at scale for our corporate clients:

One of our specialist physios will come out to your office in-person, and assess all of your staff's desk set-up in one day.

This is especially beneficial for our small-to-medium sized clients who don't have their own in-house Occupational Health service.

When your business has relocated offices, this service can be utilised to get your staff settled and incentivised to attend the office.

Project 3

Provided to individuals in clinic:

Ergonomic and postural advice is something all our physios specialise in. Where relevant, we will also assess and treat for these issue within our one-on-one treatment sessions in clinic.

Project 4

Provide unbiased advice:

Another benefit of being independently owned and run, is that we have no ties to any specific equipment provider.

Our first priority is to achieve an optimal set-up with the existing equipment

If additional equipment is required, we will chose from your preferred providers

If you have no preferred providers, we can provide you with options, based on our experience.

What we specialise in.

Assessing and treating the spine is our bread-and-butter. We specialise in everything from general postural stiffness, to spinal surgery, and everything in between.

THE ISSUES WE TREAT AND ASSES FOR:

  • Rib or vertebral fracture
  • Wry neck - muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints
  • Disc Bulges / Herniations
  • Post-injection Physio
  • Nerve pains - pinched nerves / "radiculopathy"
  • Arthritis and 'wear and tear'
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Dizziness / 'Vestibular' issues
  • Rib pain and dysfunction
  • Kyphosis and Scoliosis
  • Whiplash
  • Post surgery Physio

  • Disc Bulges / Herniations
  • Post-injection Physio
  • Post surgery Physio
  • Nerve pains - pinched nerves / Sciatica
  • Arthritis and 'wear and tear'
  • Scoliosis
  • Pelvic pain and dysfunction

It's very common that people are given a general diagnosis like "frozen shoulder" or "rotator cuff injury" - or no diagnosis at all! To get to the root cause of the problem, you will need a much more specific diagnosis and treatment plan - our speciality.

THE ISSUES WE TREAT AND ASSES FOR:

Non-surgical shoulder injuries:

  • Tendinopathy (Rotator Cuff, or Long Head of Biceps)
  • Sub-Acromial Impingement (Bursitis)

Sciatica and "pinched nerve" are general terms describing pain that radiates into the leg or arm. There are several reasons why this can happen, so a general treatment plan won't help. Our expert physios will give you an actual diagnosis, and get started on a treatment plan to fix the underlying problem.

THE ISSUES WE TREAT AND ASSES FOR:

Common causes for Sciatica and nerve pain:

  • Cervical Disc bulge / herniation
  • Lumbar disc bulge / herniation

  • Unclear direction?
  • Or just need peace of mind?

These kinds of feelings are not uncommon. In these situations all good healthcare professions should be supportive of seeking a second opinion. Our physios have the expertise and experience to be able to assess and treat complex cases and "non-responders."
